Giving Back

Today Band Boy volunteered a few hours at church today.

They put together shower kits to donate to the homeless shelter.

Earlier this week we donated to our schools adopt a family. 

 We were assigned a 3 year old boy named Justin.

Justin likes Elmo.  We bought Elmo PJ's and Slippers.

I wrapped them in a plastic bucket with a lid and put his name on them.

I thought that after he unwrapped his gift he could put treasures in the boxes. :-)  

Today Band Boy got a name off the giving tree at Starbucks. 

He picked a 13 year old boy that would like a book.  

Band Boy thinks he will by Habbot or  Hunger Games. 

I love that he enjoys giving back to those who have less.

So much spirit around the college campus

Princesses school decorates the campus inside and out

Philly made snowflakes for her dorm room window

I think these are way better than the ones out side falling from the sky - don't you?

 Princess sent this picture and said "hard core math study group"

and no sooner did she send it our witty Hipster said "Atta girl - session of Chemistry for me"

 Princess and friends are busy baking and decorating cookies today

So our stressed but well dressed girl had some time on her hands today

between classes to email me a picture so I could see that she had a smile on 

that b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l. face

I love that even though Princess is away at college 

she still has time to craft. 

This evening she sent me these pictures of her door decorations 

and more window decorations.  I love the fancy snowflakes.  

My Cup of Joe sent me this picture today from his office window.

It rained all - day - long today.  

As I cleaned house this morning I came across this picture of Hipster

Sure do miss those days when everyone was home during the day with me. 

Today Philly celebrates with her church the birthday of a Gurus.

Stressed but well dressed

Both the girls since they returned to school are feeling a bit stressed

(finals are gonna happen soon)

Made it safe

Hipster made it safe - back at school

She had a long drive and as soon as she got back she had to go straight to work

Hipster had a car full of suitcases 

(thank goodness she drives and does not fly)

and bags of groceries to unload first

For the third year we gave her a holiday ornament to hang in her room

(the one on the left was 2nd year, middle was 1st year and right is this year)

I hope she puts up her stocking and christmas tree too!

Christmas Cheer

Princess was in the decorating mood when she

got back to the dorm this afternoon.  

She left so early this morning I thought for sure she would be napping.
